When do I need a quote instead of a fixed price?
Deep Dive and Strategic Sprint engagements involve scoping before pricing because the work scope varies significantly — number of documents, complexity of the domain, and review depth all affect what a fair price looks like. Axion Query and Quick Assessment are fixed because the scope is bounded by definition.
What is the difference between a Quick Assessment and a Deep Dive?
A Quick Assessment covers one bounded deliverable — one document, one report, one section. A Deep Dive is appropriate when the work spans multiple interconnected documents, or when the workflow design itself needs review before the documents do.
Is Axion a chat tool or AI assistant?
No. Axion is a principal-led verification service. Every engagement involves a human expert reviewing the work, not a language model generating output. The value is in adversarial review, source traceability, and defensibility — not faster drafting.
Can I start with a Query and move to a larger engagement?
Yes, that is the intended path. A Query establishes whether Axion is the right fit for the work. Many clients start there and escalate to Assessment or Retainer once they have seen the output quality.
Do retainers require a long-term commitment?
Initial retainer terms are discussed during scoping. Most clients start with a 3-month minimum. Terms are agreed upfront and reviewed at renewal.
Not sure which tier fits?
Start with an Axion Query. It scopes the problem and shows whether a larger engagement is warranted.
